The Edge of Moab is a highlight film created for Jeep. The Edge of Moab takes you inside the action as professional drivers push the limits of Jeep brand vehicles' Trail-Rated capability. We spent 8 Days documenting these off-road machines through the best trails and obstacles during the 2017 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. I was hired by Free Age Productions for the position of Cinematographer and I filmed the project on the Sony FS7 and Sony A7S.

This video project was a documentary created for American Cowboy Magazine in partnership with Cinch Jeans. In March 2017, wildfires swept through Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Colorado, leaving a path of tragedy and devastation in their wake. The fires claimed seven human lives, burned more than 1 million acres, and killed an untold number of cattle. In the face of adversity, however, the ranching community came together in incredible and inspiring ways. I was hired as Cinematographer to chase this story with American Cowboy Magazine editor and producer Bob Welch and I filmed the project on the Sony FS7 and DJI Phantom 3.

Nissan and Biodapt, Inc. gave veteran Chris Livesay the opportunity to get back into motocross and other action sports with a hi tech prosthetics leg. Popular Science Editor, Sophie Bushwick met Chris Livesay at the Biodapt headquarters in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Biodapt owner and professional motocross and snowmobile-cross racer Mike Schultz fitted and tested a prosthetic leg that would allow Chris to ride dirt bikes again. The concept for this video was a fishing adventure across the Baja Peninsula with editor Glenn Law and U.S. military veteran Ronny Sweger. We began the trip filming off the shores of Cabo San Lucas Mexico as Glenn and Ronnie went fishing for marlin. After catching a striped marlin, we loaded the boat behind our Nissan Titan and drove across the Baja Peninsula to fish the Gulf of California in La Paz, Mexico. My role on the production was Cinematographer and I filmed the project on the Sony FS7 and DJI Ronin.

This was a shoot for the Sports Car Club of America at High Plains Raceway, a road racing facility located near Denver. I documented the Colorado division of the SCCA Majors Race Tour. The SCCA Majors is a championship motorsport race series that spans across North America and features several car classifications. My coverage at High Plains Raceway was focused for the Formula Race Cars. Formula racing is cars are single-seat, open wheel racecars that have incredible power to weight ratios. The cinematography challenges on this project were finding the best positioning on the track. Often the best locations to shoot are also the most dangerous to stand, so I had to keep that in mind when setting up my shots. Pulling focus on these racecars driving in excess of 120MPH is also no easy task. I was operating the Sony FS700 Camera while on this assignment, shooting mostly high frame rates on telephoto lenses.
